Why Make Air Fryer Grilled Peaches?

Have you ever fried fruit? The results are not always what you’d expect, and only some fruit is compatible with high-heat cooking methods. Still, peaches are lovely when fried, and it’s because they’re meaty and addictively sweet — they caramelize beautifully.

There are many ways of cooking with peaches, especially when making desserts. The easiest? Buttered up and coated with cinnamon and sugar. Then, topped with your favorite ingredients, from crushed crackers to whipped cream; you’re in for a treat! Here’s our recipe for air fryer grilled peaches.

What Goes into Making Grilled Peaches?

To make grilled peaches, you’ll need a peach for every two people. Half a peach is more than enough to satisfy your sweet tooth. What are the best peaches for frying? Freestone and yellow-fleshed peaches are the firmest and sweetest; therefore, they are the best to fry. Examples include Early Amber and Golden Jubilee peaches.

You’ll also need softened butter, ground cinnamon, sugar and a few drops of vanilla extract. The idea is to give the peaches a spicy flavor while letting that peachy flavor shine through. Once fried until slightly roasted and browned, you can serve the caramelized peaches and top them with anything, and we mean anything.

What Goes with Grilled Peaches?

Once you air fry the peaches, they’ll have a lovely, caramelized crust. They also have the right size and shape for topping them with all types of stuff.

Whipped cream and granola are excellent toppings, but so are Greek yogurt and honey. If you want a crunchier topping, top your air-fried peaches with crushed Graham crackers. On the other hand, you can also serve these plain as they’re already sweet and exciting. Your peaches, your rules. Now, let’s get creative!
