Is there anything fancier than lamb chops? They’re what you’d get in a nice restaurant. Lamb chops are celebratory and ideal for special occasions, from get-togethers with friends to date night.
The thing with lamb chops is that they’re intimidating too. Sure, everyone can pan-fry a pork chop, but lamb chops feel strenuous. Well, today, we’re making fantastic lamb chops, and we’re using our air fryer!
When you think about using your air-frier, you might think of fries and fish sticks, and not lamb chops, but bear with me in this one; the results are fantastic.
We’re starting off with eight lamb chops, which is what you usually get from an entire rack. Then, we’re putting together the secret behind these juicy and flavorful chops — the marinade.
Our marinade comprises olive oil, balsamic, vinegar, honey, thyme, oregano, garlic powder, salt and freshly cracked black pepper. Please be patient; allow the lamb chops to soak in all the flavors. You want to keep them marinating for at least an hour.
The rest is up to the air fryer. Since I like my chops nice and pink, and probably most of you as well, so fifteen minutes are often enough for me. The time can be different for you, depending on your air fryer.
Since I save tons of time as the air fryer cooks the lamb, I always have time to put together tasty side dishes the old fashioned way. Mashed potatoes are fantastic with lamb, and so are butter-seared veggies.
A stuffed potato is also a nice side worthy of being served with lamb, and we can make them in the air fryer too, but that’s another story! If you’re ready, let’s head on to today’s lamb recipe.
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, build your marinade combining the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, herbs and spices.
Throw in the lamb chops and coat well, toss and use your hands.
Cover the bowl with film and refrigerate for one hour.
Set your air fryer to 390 degrees F. cook for 8 minutes, then flip them, and do for another 5 minutes.
Do not remove the lamb from the air fryer yet; let the chops resp for five minutes.
Remove and serve with your favorite starchy side dish and veggies.
